Lila Kenny Dunn

Lila Dunn is a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in May 2021. At UNC, she has performed such roles as Le Feu and Le Rossignol in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortileges, Elisa in Mozart’s Il re pastore, Costanza in Mozart’s Il sogno di Scipione, and Morgana in Handel’s Alcina. Previous credits include Johanna in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. In addition to the operatic stage, Lila has performed in concert as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah and the University of North Carolina Symphony Orchestra as one winner of the ensemble’s annual concerto competition. With the North Carolina chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Lila placed first in musical theatre and classical competitions in 2018-2020. She placed second in 2021’s classical NATS North Carolina competition. Upon graduating, Lila plans to continue her performance studies at the graduate level. Lila is a student of Dr. Melissa Martin.
