Richard Luo

Richard Luo is a High School student that has a deep passion for music. He began his musical journey at the age of 7 with piano and picked up violin 2 years later. As a pianist, he became a semi-finalist at the William Knabe International Competition and International Young Artists Piano Competition, and received the MSMTA Distinguished Music Achievement Award. His accolades as a violinist include attending the 2020-2021 Maryland All State Senior Orchestra and currently serving as the Concert Master for MCYO Kamerata! He currently studies under Lya Stern.
