Sarah Lee Cho

Sarah Cho, 16, is a junior studying Global Ecology at Poolesville High School. Sarah started her piano studies at the age of 4 and gave her first public performance at the age of 6. Since then, she has won numerous awards at piano competitions including 1st Place at the Maryland State Music Teachers Association (MSMTA) Solo Piano Festival, 1st Place at the Rockville Music Competition for Piano and Strings, 1st Place at the Virtuoso Metropolitan Classical Music Festival, 2nd Place at the American Protege International Music Talent Competition, 2nd Place at the Young Musicians for Inspiring Change International Music Competition, 2nd Place at the Virtuoso International Music Competition, and more. She has also performed at the Mansion at Strathmore and Carnegie Hall. Sarah also enjoys using her talents in piano to serve her community. She visits elementary schools and participates in assemblies to share her love for piano and also performs for nursing home citizens regularly. Outside of music, Sarah enjoys dancing, writing, and participating in her school’s student council.
