Biography
Dev Darji is a passionate young flutist currently studying at Redwood Middle School in Saratoga, California under the guidance of Jon Jow. Dev is known for his versatility having first started playing piano, and then learning flute, cello, trumpet, and baritone-sax.
As a dedicated performer, Dev has played in a variety of ensembles, including the following:

– San Jose Youth Symphony Prelude Ensemble – Cello
– California Philharmonic Youth Associate Orchestra – Cello / Flute

Finally, he’s recently started composing music for piano and has completed his first few piano pieces. He has started learning music composition for band ensembles.
Dev’s interests span classical solo repertoire, chamber music, and contemporary works. He especially enjoys performing pieces that are challenging and fast paced.
Outside of performance, Dev is actively involved in Drama (Theater), Speech and Debate, and formerly played in a competitive youth soccer league. His hobbies include playing basketball, doing logic games and trivia, and playing card and board games. With a deep commitment to growth as both an artist and collaborator, he looks forward to continuing to explore the many dimensions of flute performance.
