Dorie Liu and Ellen Zhao are two young musicians whose friendship began in kindergarten and has grown alongside their love for music. As best friends and schoolmates, they have shared many experiences together, but one of their greatest connections is the joy they find in performing music.
Dorie began her musical journey with the violin, while Ellen discovered her passion for the flute. Through many dedicated years in the same music school, they not only sharpened their skills, but also learned the importance of teamwork.
Whether practicing together, performing on stage or in nursing homes for the elderlies, they bring enthusiasm, confidence, and a deep appreciation for music.
As young musicians, they have participated in the Charleston Music Competition last year, which inspired them to do more this year and many years ahead.
