Sky Trio is a chamber ensemble formed by clarinetists Esther Moon and Subin Kim, and pianist Alexander Bang, three young musicians who met through Sky Ensemble, a youth organization dedicated to serving the community through music. The organization presents an annual benefit concert supporting UNICEF and performs monthly at local senior centers.
Esther Moon is a junior at Branham High School and a clarinetist in her school ensembles and the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. She was selected for the California All-State Honor Band and is a first-prize winner of international competitions.
Subin Kim is a sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High School and a clarinetist in her school’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band, as well as the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. She has been selected for the California All-State Honor Band and has won multiple international competitions.
Alexander Bang is a freshman at Leigh High School and a pianist who has won top prizes in competitions, including the Silicon Valley Competition, and performs in his school’s wind ensemble.
Inspired by their volunteer experiences, Sky Trio shares music to connect, uplift, and give back to the community.
