Abby Ma began her love for the cello during her 6th grade Orchestra class. She enjoyed it so much, in 7th grade, she joined her music teacher’s Foster City BAYCO Choir and Orchestra organization where they played at local venues throughout Foster City until she graduated from middle school. As a freshman in high school, she continues to broaden her experience not only with the San Mateo High School Chamber Orchestra but also with the Peninsula Youth Orchestra’s advanced preparatory orchestra, the Peninsula Young Artists.
