I started violin in first grade when I first moved to the United States. It quickly became a way for me to express myself. As I started to really get into violin, I felt like I was becoming one with the music, every note resonated within me. I want to thank my violin teacher for pushing me to come this far. As I practiced with her, I felt my tone changing and became more confident in what I was playing. I am so grateful to her and to all her contributions and I am thankful to my piano accompanist for allowing me to finish this song successfully. And lastly, I am grateful for the Charleston International Competition for creating this opportunity for me to push myself further in order to become a better musician.
