Alec Van Khajadourian

Alec Van Khajadourian

At the young age of two, Alec Van was already exuding musical abilities, humming melodies and matching them to the piano keys. A piano teacher took a chance on him at three and a half, and immediately discovered he has perfect pitch and an amazing ability to hear and feel music well beyond his years. Alec performed his first recital in April 2024 at the ripe age of four alongside fifth grade performers, and played Minuet in G Major by J.S. Bach and Ode To Joy L.V. Beethoven. In January 2025, he performed Flamenco by W. Gillock and Arabesque in A Minor by F. Burgmüller to a cheering crowd at LA Valley College in Los Angeles, California. He has recently begun composing music and the study of music theory, and aspires to reach his dream of performing in Carnegie Hall.

Watch Alec Van Khajadourian perform Flamenco by William Gillock on the piano for the 2025 Winter Music Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
