Alex Yang has been playing piano since he was 5 years old, and has enjoyed it throughout his life. He has only gotten into piano competitions fairly recently, only at 14 years old, but has liked participating in them. He enjoys playing pieces throughout the romantic era, and his favorite composers are Franz Liszt and Frédéric Chopin. Besides piano, he also enjoys playing tennis.
