At 4 years old, Alexander has made piano part of the rhythm of his everyday life. Throughout the day, any little free moment seems to lead him back to the piano—sometimes playing Chopin or Bach, other times working out a melody that is entirely his own.
He especially loves performing and will find almost any opportunity to share his music, from playing for family and friends to turning his dad’s work gatherings into impromptu concerts, where he now has a small group of enthusiastic fans who look forward to hearing him play.
At 3 years old, Alexander was the youngest performer at a Further Music School concert at LeFrak Concert Hall in Queens, New York, where he performed “Rockin’ Robin” and “Aura Lee.”
Having played piano for over a year, Alexander enjoys discovering challenging new pieces, creating music of his own, and most of all, sharing the excitement he finds in music with others.
Watch Alexander Harfouch perform Arabesque by Friedrich Burgmüller on the piano for the 2026 World Music Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
