
Sound of Korea (Great Drum Ensemble) It is an ensemble of various types of drum melodies that include jajinmori, hwimori and byeoldalgeogei. Jajinmori a rhythmic beat; A 12/8 beat used in Korean folk music such as Pansori, Sanjo, and Nongak. Hwimori means that the ‘Jajinmori rhythm’ is played faster, making it a fast, swirling rhythm. Byeoldalgeori rhythm originated from the farmers who used to sing & prayed to heavens for good harvest.
