Alexander Xu – Violinist
Alexander Xu is a 16-year-old violinist recognized for his musical maturity and leadership in youth ensembles in the local community. He began studying violin at the age of five under the guidance of a distinguished local instructor and has since developed into a versatile and expressive performer.

Alexander joined the San Jose Youth Symphony in 2020 and currently serves as a key member of its Chamber Orchestra. His recent performances include the 2023, 2024, and 2025 concert seasons, and he is presently preparing Mozart’s Konzert für Klarinette with the ensemble. His repertoire spans classical masterworks, with a particular affinity for Romantic and contemporary chamber music.

In addition to his role in the San Jose Youth Symphony, Alexander was a key member of the Ralston Middle School Chamber Orchestra and served as the most important first violinist of the Carlmont High School Concert Orchestra. He continues to perform actively in his high school’s music programs and community concerts.

Alexander’s dedication to classical music and collaborative performance reflects a deep commitment to artistic excellence and growth.
