My name is Amaira Saxena, and I am 9 years old. I live in Bedford, New Hampshire, and I am so excited and honored to participate and win in the 2026 Autumn Music Competition.
I love singing, and music has always been a very special part of my life. For this competition, I performed “Quiet” from Matilda the Musical by Tim Minchin, and I am incredibly happy and grateful that my performance was selected to advance to the Final Round.
I would like to give a very special thank you to my amazing teacher, Miss Erin from Let’s Play Music. Thank you for teaching me, encouraging me, and always believing in me. You have helped me become a better singer and taught me to give my very best every time I perform. I would also like to pay gratitude to my parents for always supporting and believing in me.
This year has been especially exciting for me. I was honored to win First Prize at the New England Music Festival and Third Prize at the Young Inventors Competition, and I was also excited to make it to the 2026 Invention Convention U.S. Nationals. I love being creative, learning new things, and challenging myself.
Besides singing, I enjoy playing the piano, swimming, gymnastics, ballet, martial arts, skiing, basketball, and soccer. I also love musical theatre and have performed in Madagascar and Frog and Toad. I am very excited to be performing in Matilda the Musical as well.
I am very grateful to my parents for always believing in me, supporting me, and encouraging me to follow my dreams.
Music is my passion. I love singing because it makes me feel happy, confident, and free. One day, I hope to become a singer and composer and share my music with people around the world.
I am so thankful to the Charleston Music Competition for giving me this wonderful opportunity to perform, learn, and grow as a young musician. Advancing to the Final Round inspires me to keep practicing, keep learning, and keep believing in myself.
I will keep singing, dreaming, creating, and making music!
Thank you! ❤️
