Amatra Jagannathan is 14 years old and began learning Carnatic violin at the age of 8 under the guidance of renowned violin maestro and Grammy Award winner Sri Ganesh Rajagopalan, of the Ganesh-Kumaresh fame. With her teacher’s blessings, she performed a 2.5-hour debut concert in September 2023, at the young age of 12, in
Redmond, WA, and since then, has been performing
extensively – both as a soloist and accompanist – in the
Pacific Northwest and India.

She has also collaborated on various dance projects and percussion projects and has been part of live orchestra for dance shows.

Her performances include appearances at prestigious events such as the Northwest Folklife Festival, Seattle’s
Diwali Festival of Lights, Seattle Town Hall’s global music series, the University of Washington, and the Washington All-State Music Festival.
