My name is Andrew Yihan Yang, and I am 14 years old. I have been playing violin for 8 years, starting at the age of 6. Currently, I sit as the co-concertmaster position of the second highest level of Chamber in the orchestra known as San Jose Youth Symphony. The chamber orchestra features many violinist talents that have used at least ABRSM level 8 for their auditions. My membership in this orchestra as the co-concertmaster is a testament to how skillful I am to be able to compete with such talented people in the first row. At this point in time my plan in the future would still be to keep studying violin to be promoted to the highest level of Philharmonic in my orchestra. I aim to play pieces spanning from level 9 to 10 on the violin.
