My name is Aneeka Misra and I am 17 years old. I am a junior at The Hockaday School in Dallas, TX. I have been singing since I was four, training in the Hindustani classical vocal style and later picked up Western classical voice, which I have been learning and performing for around 5 years now, under the guidance of Mrs. Susan Echols. I have participated in various choir concerts and have been a selected as a member of the Texas Private School Music Educators’ Association (TPSMEA) All-State and All-Region Choirs for all three years of my high school experience. I have earned first chair in the TPSMEA All-Region Choir for three years consecutively and first chair in the All-State Choir for two years. I have also been part of musicals at my school, most recently playing Rapunzel at my school’s production of Into the Woods. When I am not singing, I love to dance and read.
