Angie Yang is a sophomore at Bridgewater-Raritan High School. After an incredibly-brief introduction to wind music in elementary school through the trombone, she started the oboe in 6th grade with Robert Cayne and has been playing it ever since. She was selected as principal oboist of New Jersey Youth Symphony and CJMEA Regional Band, and also serves as principal for her school’s Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. In her free time, she enjoys listening to indie pop/rock and playing video games.
Watch Angie Yang perform Oboe Quartet KV 370 III. Rondo: Allegro by W. A. Mozart on the oboe for the 2026 Classical Music Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
