
Anna Kapriyelov is an 18-year-old flute player based in New York City. She has been playing since the age of 10 and has studied with various virtuoso flute players including Mary Barto, Jasmine Choi, Janet Arms, Bonita Boyd, Alexa Still, and Jonathan Keeble. In 2023, she played as principal flute of the ISO Symphony Orchestra in Carnegie Hall. She also played as solo piccolo of the All City High School orchestra and principal flute of the LaGuardia High School Senior Orchestra throughout her high school career. She has performed in Merkin hall with Bass Flute alongside LaGuardia’s flute choir. During her senior year of high school, she was awarded the Alumni & Friends Jane Taylor Music Award. She has spent her summers participating in Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival and ARIA Summer Academy at Mount Holyoke College, collaborating with professional musicians from around the world. Kapriyelov now attends The Hartt School at the University of Hartford where she plays solo piccolo in their top Wind Ensemble.
