Annabella Smith is a passionate 15-year-old flutist in Central Florida and a rising sophomore who deeply values the power of teamwork, dedication, and community in music. She is currently a proud member of her high school’s marching band, an ensemble that consistently achieve straight Superior ratings at both their marching competitions and the Music Performance Assessment (MPA) in Central Florida. In addition to her field performances, Annabella contributes her talents to the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras (FSYO) as a third-year member and performs at multiple orchestral events throughout the year.
Her commitment to musical excellence began early, earning her a coveted spot in the Florida Bandmaster Association’s Middle School All-County band. Since then, she has continued to thrive as a soloist and ensemble player, consistently receiving multiple Superior ratings at the Florida Bandmaster Association’s Solo and Ensemble evaluations. For Annabella, the true joy of music lies not only in the hard work but also the bond that she formed with her fellow band members and orchestra musicians.
Outside of music, Annabella loves traveling the world (with her flute), exploring new cultures and meeting new people. Looking to the future, she aspires to pursue a biology pre-med track in college while keeping music as an inseparable and lifelong part of her journey.
