April Zhang

April Zhang is a rising senior studying at The Westminster Schools. A dedicated musician, April began studying piano at the age of six and went on to pass the ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Exam and the Grade 5 Music Theory exam. She joined the school choir in sixth grade, marking the start of her singing journey. Since then, she has been selected for the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) All-State Honor Choir for three years. She sang first as an alto and now as a soprano. April currently studies voice with Xiaohan Chen and sings in both her high school choir and Ensemble, Westminster’s audition-only choir. She is also a member of the school’s Women’s A Cappella group. Most recently, April was elected soprano section leader. Apart from singing and piano, April has recently begun participating in her school’s musical theater productions, the most recent being Mean Girls.
