Avin Kwon is an oboist based in the Bay Area. Her musical journey began more than ten years ago, with the start of piano. Throughout the progress built over time, she has received awards such as CM Level 8, State Honors, third-place at the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition, and much more. She also served as a principal alto saxophonist for the GSYO El Camino Wind Orchestra, having played the instrument for two years. Within just two years of picking up the oboe afterwards, she has achieved immense growth, earning acceptance into the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Academy, the Golden State Youth Orchestra’s Camila Kolchinsky Orchestra, and the elite Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra at Henry M Gunn High School. Avin looks forward to continuing her musical growth and exploring new artistic opportunities.
