
Benno Alderink is a Michigan-born clarinetist who loves sharing his passion for music with others. His orchestral career includes one year as principal clarinetist of the St Cecilia Philharmonic, followed by 4 years as the principal clarinetist of the Grand Rapids Youth Symphony. Among his accomplishments are Kent Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Competition Winner, Skip Gates Concerto Competition Winner, and two-time FAME award winner of the Grand Rapids Musicians League. Other notable moments in Benno’s career include participation in Juilliard Summer Winds, International Clarinet Workshop, and Minnesota Clarinet Academy, studying with famous clarinetists such as Alexander Fiterstein, Ron Selka, Jessica Phillips, and Anton Rist. Benno aims to make a future career out of performing on clarinet, both in orchestra and solo performance, and hopes that through his performance, God would be given all the glory.
