Brayden Jin Schenck is a dedicated 12-year-old musician with a natural gift for music that first became evident through his remarkable sense of rhythm at a very young age. Encouraged by his early success in the “Music Together” program, Brayden began studying piano at the age of four and quickly demonstrated an exceptional ability to grasp musical concepts and techniques. Now in his eighth year of piano studies, he has successfully passed Piano Syllabus Level 7 and continues to grow as a confident and expressive performer.
Over the years, Brayden has participated in various music festivals, including the Romantic Music Festival and the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival. His consistent excellence in performance has earned him a trophy for three consecutive years of superior rankings.
Two years ago, Brayden began learning the cello, expanding his musical talents even further. His progress has been swift and impressive, and he is now a part of Portland Metropolitan Youth Symphony – Chamber Strings group in Oregon. Interestingly, his experience playing both piano and cello has contributed to accelerated development in each instrument, allowing him to deepen his musical understanding and artistry.
Brayden finds great joy and fulfillment through music and is excited to share his passion at the 2025 Spring Charleston International Music Competition.
