Twelve-year-old violinist Bruce Niccolò Tigranyan Fu is an emerging young artist known for his expressive playing, technical precision, and artistic maturity. He began formal training at age four under Ms. Natalia Yampolsky and then Ms. Lea Stern and has since performed in numerous competitions and festivals across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. He was recently awarded high honors by the Montgomery County Music Teachers Association for his outstanding musicianship.
Bruce currently serves as concertmaster of his middle school’s top ensemble, the Symphonic Orchestra—an honor that reflects both his leadership and advanced skill level. He is also a passionate young composer, with original works that explore the intersection of classical tradition and modern expression.
His middle name, Niccolò, honors both his beloved uncle and the legendary virtuoso Niccolò Paganini—figures who continue to deeply inspire his artistic journey. One of his aspirations is to one day record Paganini’s 24th Caprice, a piece Bruce has long admired for its brilliance and complexity.
In addition to his musical accomplishments, Bruce is known for his kind and thoughtful nature. He brings a quiet focus and genuine warmth to his work, both on and off the stage. Outside of music, he enjoys reading about astrophysics, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
With his discipline, creativity, and grounded presence, Bruce Niccolò is a young artist with a bright and promising future.
