
Calvin has been studying cello since he was 11 and piano since he was five. He is a prize winner in the 2021 MMTA judged festival for Piano. He started cello as part of the CPS instrumental program in fifth grade. Beginning in spring of 2023, he launched a pilot, tutoring program at the Haggerty school for fifth grade instrumentalists. He is also a member of BYS in Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. In the summer of 2023 and 2024, he attended Greenwood music camp. He also is co-principal cellist of Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s BYS, principal of the Tufts Youth Philharmonic, and an active member of River’s Chamber Music Lab.
