Carol Chen is a 17-year-old cellist from Los Angeles, California. She began studying the cello at the age of eight and has placed in numerous international competitions since then, including 1st Place in the 2024 Irvine International Music Competition, 1st Place in the 2023 Golden Classical Music Awards, 1st Place in the 2023 Crescendo International Music Competition, 1st Place in the 2021 & 2022 Elite International Music Competition, 1st Place in the 2022 Vivaldi International Music Competition, and 1st Place in the 2021 American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, with some awards earning high distinction. Carol has been studying at the Colburn School for several years, where she participates in the youth orchestras and chamber music program.
