Cecilia Thomas is a 15-year-old violinist from Lighthouse Point, Florida. When she was 5 years old, she began her violin studies with Deena Shapiro. Currently, she studies with Huifang Chen and Rafael Elvira. Cecilia is the Associate Concertmaster of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony, and in 2025, she won the Greater Miami Youth Symphony’s annual Concerto Competition. She was selected for the Florida All-State Orchestra for four consecutive years, and she has participated in music programs such as the Interlochen Arts Camp, the Philadelphia International Music Festival and the Sphinx Performance Academy. When she is not practicing violin, Cecilia spends her time drawing, building with Legos and reading novels.
