Chanyoung You

Chanyoung You is a 17-year-old rising senior at Branham High School in San Jose, California and has been playing the clarinet for over six years. He has performed in various ensembles, including Branham’s Wind Ensemble, marching band, and the California All-State Concert Band. Chanyoung has also previously won multiple competitions, including Second Place in American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, First Place in Charleston International Music Competition, First Place with Honors in IYMC, as well as Second Place in the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition. He has also been involved in non-profit volunteering organizations and is currently serving as the lead manager of the Mentor-Mentee Program. Mentor-Mentee Program is a non-profit that provides free private lessons by pairing experienced high school musicians with younger students who may not be able to afford expensive private lessons.
