Christina Tang, 15, is a high school cellist from Plano, TX. She began studying cello at the age of 10 (August 2020) and has since developed a deep passion for music through solo, ensemble, and orchestral experiences.
Christina earned placement in the Region 25 Middle School All-Region Orchestra in both the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons. Most recently, she placed 4th chair in the 2024–2025 Region 25 High School All-Region Orchestra, qualifying for the Texas All-State process. She was awarded 4th place in the Junior Concerto Category at the 2025 Dallas Symphonic Festival and 3rd place at the 2025 TMTA Texas State Conference Performance Competition.
Christina is honored to be joining the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra’s Philharmonic ensemble for the 2025–2026 season and looks forward to growing musically alongside her peers. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
