My name is Claire Chen, I’m in 8th grade and has been playing violin about 4 years. I’ve gotten into the WVMEA middle school all state orchestra for all three years of middle school and was the 2024-2025 concert master. I placed first in the WV-ASTA solo competition in 2024 and that summer I got a scholarship from a music camp named PointCounter Point. In the past, my friends and I grouped an ensemble and played in various places like at an elementary, churches, and malls.
