Connor Ly, a student of the Julia Kruger Studio in Austin, Texas, began studying piano at the age of six. By age ten, he started competing in both national and international piano competitions. Since then, Connor has participated in and received awards from close to 20 domestic and international events. He was the First Prize Winner of the National DeBose Piano Competition, and earned Piano Junior Gold, Bach Gold, and Prokofiev Gold Prizes in the AD LIBITUM International Piano Competition. He won Second Place in the Colors of Chopin competition and Silver in World’s Piano Teacher Association (“WPTA”) Finland and WPTA Singpore competition for two years in a row. More recently, he won First Place in Playful Piano Competition in San Antonio, Texas and also First Place in the American Protege International Piano Competition, and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in March 2025. His passion for piano also took him to audition for and participate in the Julliard School Summer Piano program in 2025.
