
Daniel Zhang is a passionate and dedicated pianist currently a sophomore at Canyon Crest Academy. With eight years of piano experience, Daniel has cultivated a lifelong love for music, studying under the guidance of Julia Huynh, a renowned piano teacher with over 30 years of experience and a graduate of one of Taiwan’s top music academy. Daniel has achieved 1st Place at the 2025 International Grand Prize Virtuoso Music Competition as well as 2nd Place in the 2025 American Protege Piano and Strings Competition, being invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, and the Vienna Glass Hall. Daniel has also achieved the highest level (Advanced) in the Certificate of Merit for piano, earning perfect scores in repertoire, sight-reading, technique, and more, along with state honors and invitations to perform at prestigious venues across California. Beyond solo performance, he also organizes monthly concerts for seniors in assisted living homes, leading 10+ musicians, fostering intergenerational connections and sharing joy for music. Additionally, Daniel also plays percussion in his high school’s top music ensemble.
