Donovan Gomez Lopez is a freshman bassist with the Tejero-Holmes Foundation and performs with the Rising Youth Orchestra. A passionate and dedicated young musician, Donovan has quickly distinguished himself through his commitment to the double bass and his enthusiasm for musical exploration.
Despite being early in his high school career, Donovan has already been selected for CCSD Honor Orchestra three times and Nevada’s All-State Orchestra twice, reflecting his strong musicianship and rapid growth on the instrument. He especially enjoys exploring a wide range of musical genres, which continues to shape his musical voice and deepen his love for the bass.
Donovan remains eager to grow as a performer and contribute meaningfully to the ensemble while embracing new musical challenges.
