Edouard Ferragu

Edouard Ferragu, a Sophomore at Hopkins School in New Haven, CT, currently studies piano with Professor Delana Thomsen and chamber music with Professor Claudia Knafo at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division.

He began his piano studies with David Brooks at the age of 7 and performed his first solo piano recital in June 2024 under his guidance.
Edouard had the honor of being the First & Second Prizes at the Golden Key Music Festival, Vivo Music Competition, Musical Life Competition and Charleston Competitions; and has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and Kaufman Music Center’s Merkin Concert Hall.
He has attended piano festivals in Paris, France, at the Hotchkiss School in CT and in Arcidosso, Italy.

Edouard has had the great distinction of participating in master classes with Mariko Sato, Fabio and Gisele Witkowski, Michel Bourdoncle, Leonel Morales, and Oxana Yoblanskaya.

He enjoys music collaborations. He sings in the Senior Select Choir at MSM Precollege, and he is part of the Orchestra at Hopkins School. He performs regularly in the Music for Youth events around Fairfield County, CT under the kind and enthusiastic guidance of Misty Beyer.

Outside of music Edouard enjoys studying mathematics and science. He is also an accomplished sportsman, from alpine ski racing to racquet sports.
