
Ellen Kim, a 14 year old violinist who attends Crean Lutheran High School, was born and raised in Irvine, CA. Ever since she was 5 years old, she played the piano until she was 7 and began to play the violin. She has been studying the violin for the past 7 years under teacher Mi park. For the past two years in middle school, she has been selected to be a part of the CASMEC All-State and the All-Southern orchestra as a violinist. She has also been a part of the IUSD Honor Orchestra for the past four years and have been able to perform at Segerstrom Concert hall with this orchestra. Recently, she was accepted to play in the Pacific Symphony Youth Ensemble (PSYE). She also serves as the assistant concertmaster of her school’s orchestra. She enjoys performing in various performances at senior homes and playing in her church’s Youth Praise team to give back to the community.
