Hi, my name is Emma Yu and I’m in the seventh grade. I am really excited for this piano competition and I hope I will do well, being able to bring back a first place trophy. At school, I am a straight A student with a 4.0 GPA and I’m in all honors classes. Additionally, I have participated in many extracurricular activities such as being on my school’s basketball team, bringing on another basketball team outside of school, accompanying my school’s choir at two concerts with piano, participating in speech and debate for four years and winning many awards, and playing piano for seven years. In the summer of 2024, I brought home two first place awards at international piano competitions. Furthermore, I entered a writing competition with over 400 students, and was able to get my story published and made into a book, along with the others that placed in the top ten. Some hobbies I have include painting, writing, playing the piano, practicing basketball, and rollerblading. Overall, I am very excited for this competition.
