When Ethan was 4.5 years old, he saw a video of someone playing piano, pointed to the screen and said, “I want to do that. too.” We interviewed a few piano teachers, who all said he was too young to touch the piano but could learn music theory. Ms. Bri at Sounds of Color Studios was the only teacher who let him play her piano and he has been with her ever since. Ethan has perfect pitch and enjoys playing different genres of music. His favorite to perform at recitals and talent shows is pop music, especially Coldplay songs. He has been learning chord progression and can efficiently transpose songs between keys. In this competition, Ethan plays Sonatina by Albert Biehl.
