Ethan Chang is a cellist and student of Jamie Kellogg. He started off learning piano at the age of 4, studying with the East Valley Yamaha Music School. Through his time there, Ethan developed an interest in composition, leading him to compose a piece that won MTNA’s state level competition and placed an honorable mention at the US Southwest Divisional.
At the age of 10, Ethan began to play the cello, quickly falling in love with its sound. As a solo performer, he has won an honorable mention at the Arizona Music Fest Competition. Ethan also enjoys the collaborative aspect of playing in an orchestra, being a member of the Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as the Arizona All-State Orchestra.
