Faisal is 9 year old pianist with a growing passion for classical music. He began studying piano at age 7, and he has developed strong musicality, technical control and expressive performance style. He enjoys learning pieces from a variety of composers, and this year he has especially connected with Claude Debussy. For the Charleston competition, he is performing “Le Petit Noir” drawn to its lively rhythms and playful character. He looks forward to sharing this music and continuing to grow as a young musician.
