Garv Kanwar started playing the Cello at the age of six. He has played in the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra in San Diego and also played with various string quartet groups. He currently studies Cello with Ms. Emily Balderrama in San Diego, California
His love for the Cello is complemented by his keen interest in piano as well. He has been learning and playing the piano since he was four years old.
He has received California State Honors in the MTAC exam for Cello in 2024. He won 2nd place in Strings Category at the 2025 Global Phil. Competition. He has been invited to play at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on August 17th, 2025. He won 1st place in the Solo Category and 2nd place for Baroque Category at the 2025 Satori Strings Competition.
