Grace Kwon

Grace Kwon is a 19-year-old oboist based in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began with the violin at the age of five and her absolute love for music led her to learn the oboe later on in elementary school. Since then, Grace has demonstrated both her technical and musical excellence through various competitions and programs. In April 2023, Grace was selected as the Principal Oboist of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Concert Band conducted by Dr. Fred Romines. In April 2024, Grace was selected as the Principal Second Oboist and English Horn Soloist of the PMEA All-State Wind Ensemble conducted by Dr. Andrea Strauss. In April 2025, Grace was selected as the only English Hornist of the PMEA All-State Orchestra conducted by Mr. Michael Hall. Later on in April 2025, Grace was also selected as the Principal Oboist of the National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Concert Band, a prestigious ensemble composed of top musicians from 11 states, under the direction of renown conductor Maestro Travis Cross. Currently, Grace is a second-year student in university studying Biochemistry and Psychology on the Pre-Medical track. Grace aspires to become a pediatrician with the hopes of also continuing to share her love for music with her community.
