Hannah Phillippy is a classical cellist from Maryland who has been studying under Dr. Tanya Anisimova since 2020. She has been a member of the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras for the past five years; was the youngest cellist to attend Portugal’s Douro Strings Academy in 2024; and was selected to the Maryland All-State Junior Orchestra in 2025. Hannah loves performing and her most recent awards include First Prize in the Solo Junior Artist Group at the Concert Artists International Competition in 2025, as a soloist, and First Prize in the Chamber Music Young Artists Group at the American Virtuoso International Music Competition in 2024, as a member of the Spark Quartet. In addition to cello, Hannah enjoys teaching music to younger children and competing in both fencing and lacrosse.
