Hanyu Zhou is a rising eighth grade student in Fremont, California. She has been playing violin since she was seven years old and has been studying under the guidance of Ker Qi for more than two years. She participated in Cazadero Music Camp in the summers of 2023 and 2024 and was part of the Fremont Youth Orchestra in 2022 and 2023. This year she will participate in CMEA with her school. Hanyu will join the California Youth Symphony Associate Orchestra in the fall of 2025. In her spare time, Hanyu enjoys reading, baking, skiing, and various outdoor activities with Scouting America.
