Haven Kim

Originally from San Jose, California, Haven Kim currently resides in Korea and is a fifth-grade student at Seoul Foreign School. She began her cello studies at the age of six and has since distinguished herself in a number of international competitions. Haven was awarded Second Prize (no First Prize awarded) at the U.S. International Open Music Competition and went on to receive both the Gold Prize and the Artistic Expression Special Prize at the Haydn Young Musician Competition in the United Kingdom. She is the principal cellist of the Andante Orchestra at Seoul Foreign School and a founding member of Ensemble M.A.Y., with whom she actively performs.
