Isaac Jun

Growing up in a musical environment, I was naturally drawn to music from a young age, especially under the influence of my mother, who is a trained vocalist. I began playing the cello in fourth grade, and since then, it has become an important part of my life.

I currently play in my school’s symphony orchestra as well as the Irvine Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. I also serve in my church’s worship team, using my cello to help create a meaningful worship experience.

To me, music is a language that speaks through sound. It allows me to express emotions and stories that words often cannot. I feel truly alive when I play the cello, and I am grateful for every opportunity to share my music with others.

Watch Isaac Jun perform Sonata in C major Mov.ll Rondo Grazioso by J.B. Breval on the cello for the 2025 Summer Music Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
