
Isabella Zhang is a sophomore at Brookline High School and the founder and CEO of Music for More, an organization dedicated to teaching and sharing the joy of music with young children in their communities. A pianist for over a decade, she has studied with renowned pianist and mentor Chenchen Gong since beginning her musical journey. She has earned distinction in both the ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory Exam and the Grade 8 Practical Exam, as well as a perfect score of 5 on the AP Music Theory Exam.
Isabella is an accomplished performer and collaborator, serving as the accompanist for Brookline High School’s Camerata Honor Choir and frequently performing at senior residences such as Waterstone at the Circle and Goddard House. Her repertoire spans classical masterworks to contemporary favorites, and she is passionate about using music to connect with and inspire others.
Beyond her piano achievements, Isabella is also an advanced clarinetist, as a member of the Youth Repertory Orchestra, and offered to play with the Senior Massachusetts Wind Ensemble at New England Conservatory’s Preparatory School. She has also been selected for the MMEA Junior Districts Festival three times and participated in NEC’s prestigious Summer Orchestra Institute.
Aside from music, Isabella enjoys playing lacrosse and hockey for Brookline High School’s varsity team, as well as spending time with friends, reading, and baking.
