Isabelle You Yang

Isabelle Yang, a 16-year-old pianist from Irvine, California, has been passionate about music from a young age. Beginning her piano studies at age 7 under the guidance of her teacher, Mrs. Jiyeon Lee, Isabelle has refined her skills and developed a deep appreciation for music.
In 2024, Isabelle reached a major milestone by completing the Certificate of Merit Level 10 Exam for piano with State Honors. That same year, she earned an Honorable Mention at the prestigious American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition where she had the incredible opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. She also claimed second place at the U.S. International Open Music Competition, further affirming her talent and dedication to the art of piano performance.
In addition to her piano accomplishments, Isabelle has diverse interests in the realm of performance. She is a clarinetist in her school band and an artistic swimmer for her team, the Meraquas of Irvine. Furthermore, she has a strong interest in biology and scientific research that she wishes to further pursue as a career.
