i am a freshman going to my sophomore year of high school and i started playing since 6th grade and i would have to say that over the years i have improved the most this year and doing so with raw and hard practice i would have to say that i am not musically talented at trombone but anybody with dedication and practice can rise to be a better trombone player then talented people.
this year i have started to really focus on practicing and doing so have been able to pull off some small feats like making are region district band and getting a two on my trombone solo and originally i was going to quit trombone to peruse piano but people in my band have showed me what amazing life you can live with playing this instrument and how it has also made me feel like i might be able to become a good enough player to be recognized some day after i graduate or to at least hold some sort of remembrance with my band.
