Jade Jane Wang

Jade Wang is a current high school sophomore student in Arizona. She has been playing the piano since she was six years old and began learning with her current teacher Hong Zhu 4 years ago. She has competed in the the SWOSU state competition (1st place), the Steinway & Sons piano competition (2nd), Arizona Musicfest piano competition (2nd), Arizona Young Artists piano competition (2nd), EVMTA (1st), and DVMTA (1st), 13th Steinway/Avanti Future Stars Piano Competition (1st), Los Angeles International Liszt Competition (4th), and Arizona International Music Competition (3rd). In 2025, Jade traveled to New York to perform in Carnegie Hall as a first prize winner of the International American Protégé Music Competition. Alongside studying piano, Jade also plays the violin and has served as concertmaster of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and writing, being the only student from Arizona to receive a First Class Designation in the 2024 NCTE Promising Young Writers Competition.
